Houston’s momentum stalled after that though, as they lost three consecutive games against the best teams in the North – Seattle, DC and St Louis.
The Roughnecks stopped the rot with a 17-15 overtime win in San Antonio, and then secured home advantage for the South Division Championship Game with a 28-21 victory over Vegas.
