Michigan enter this matchup on a four-game win streak that has propelled them to 6-2 and secured a playoff place.
The Panthers were a mixed bag over the first four weeks of the season, winning two and losing two of their first four games.
They beat St Louis 18-16 only to then lose 20-13 to Birmingham, and they then failed to back up a 34-20 victory over Houston as they lost 19-9 in San Antonio.
Michigan have not lost since though, starting a four-game streak with a 35-18 win in Memphis and a 28-27 victory against Arlington.
The Panthers then travelled to DC to take down the Defenders 22-9, before returning home to beat Memphis 24-18 last weekend.
Houston Roughnecks Form
Houston go into their final home game of the regular season having already been eliminated from the postseason picture at 1-7.
The Roughnecks got off to a miserable start as they lost their first three games, losing 18-12 to Memphis, 23-18 in DC and 34-20 at Michigan.
They finally stopped the rot with a 17-9 victory over Arlington in a battle of winless teams, but they have not managed a victory since then.
Houston returned to losing ways as they were beaten 32-9 by Birmingham, and that was followed by a 22-9 defeat in St Louis as the offense stalled again.
The Roughnecks’ skid continued with a 15-12 defeat to San Antonio, and despite their best offensive showing of the season last weekend, it reached four games with a 35-28 loss in Birmingham.
Verdict
It is clear for all to see that Michigan are the better of these two teams.
They come into this game in good form and have already blown out the Roughnecks once, so we expect the Panthers to cover as they sweep the season series.
