DC enter this matchup with their playoff hopes hanging by a thread after losing three of the last four games to fall to 3-4.
The Defenders opened the season with a 27-12 defeat in San Antonio, but quickly rebounded with back-to-back wins.
They beat Houston 23-18 in their home opener, and then staged a dramatic late fightback to snatch a 29-28 victory at Arlington.
DC failed to keep that run going though, as they blew a late lead to lose 20-18 at Birmingham, before getting blown out at home by St Louis, 45-12.
The Defenders responded with an 18-12 win over San Antonio, only to then suffer a 22-9 defeat when they hosted Michigan last week.

St Louis head into this game on the back of a defeat, but firmly on course for the playoffs with a 5-2 record.
The Battlehawks kicked off the season with an 18-16 defeat at Michigan, but responded to that early setback with a five-game win streak.
They beat Arlington 27-24 in their home opener, and backed it up a week later when they went on the road to beat San Antonio 31-24.
St Louis then downed Memphis 32-17 at home, before recording their most dominant win of the season so far, rolling to a 45-12 victory in DC.
The Battlehawks made it five-in-a-row with a 22-8 victory over Houston, only to see their streak finally end with a 30-26 loss in Birmingham last weekend.
Verdict
St Louis dominated DC a week ago and we have seen little to suggest anything other than a repeat.
The Defenders simply do not have the firepower to match the Battlehawks, so we expect the hosts to win this comfortably.
