Birmingham head to the Motor City looking to rebound from a shocking start to the season.
The Stallions have dominated spring football over the previous three years, winning two USFL titles and the first ever UFL crown.
However, their defence of the UFL championship got off to a rough start last week as they failed to beat a DC Defenders team that lost its head coach just days before the game.
Birmingham managed just 89 yards through the air as the offensive line gave up eight sacks for 73 yards.
That resulted in an 18-11 defeat for the Stallions, who now head out on the road for the second weekend running.
Michigan Panthers Form
Michigan go into their home opener looking to maintain a perfect record and finally beat Birmingham.
The Panthers are 0-5 all-time against the Stallions, dating back to the return of the USFL in 2022, and that run includes a playoff defeat when the two teams met last season.
They go into this latest meeting with plenty of confidence though, having opened the 2025 UFL campaign with a win.
Michigan were handed a road trip to kick things off, but they got the job done as the won 26-12 in Memphis.
The Nacua brothers played key roles in the victory, as Kai returned an interception 80 yards for a touchdown and Samson caught a 25-yard touchdown pass.
Verdict
Abandoning Birmingham this quickly appears risky, but we cannot ignore just how bad that offensive line was a week ago.
Until they fix that the Stallions are going to have serious issues, so we are backing Michigan to finally get the better of them here.
