The Stallions have dominated spring football over the past three years and should have too much for a DC team that lost their head coach this week and could lose more staff soon.

Birmingham enter the new season bidding to win their fourth consecutive spring football crown.
The Stallions were crowned back-to-back USFL champions in 2022 and 2023, before the league merged with the XFL last year.
Their dominance continued despite joining of the two competitions, as they won nine of their 10 regular season games to march into the playoffs.
Birmingham then secured a trip to the first UFL Championship Game by beating Michigan 31-18 in the USFL Conference Championship.
All that stood between the Stallions and another crown was San Antonio, and Skip Holtz’s team were able to shut out the Brahmas in a 25-0 victory.
DC Defenders Form
DC come into the new season looking to rebound from a disappointing UFL debut that saw them win just four games and miss out on the playoffs.
The Defenders had been one of the best teams in the XFL in 2023, compiling a 9-1 regular season record on their way to a Championship Game appearance.
They suffered a surprise 35-26 defeat to Arlington in the XFL’s showpiece game, yet despite that defeat much was expected of them in the inaugural UFL campaign.
DC failed to live up to the hype though, as they finished 4-6, and their aim to improve in 2025 suffered a dramatic setback this week.
Defenders head coach Reggie Barlow quit this week to take a college job, and reports suggest he could now take some of his support staff with him.
Verdict
Birmingham have been the cream of the crop in spring football over the past few years.
DC, on the other hand, had a stinker in 2024 and just lost their head coach this week, so we have to side with the defending champion Stallions.
