Arlington head out on the road for the first time this season looking to keep their perfect record intact.
The Renegades entered the UFL as the 2023 XFL champions but experienced a rough first season in the new league, winning only three of their 10 regular season games.
They finished the campaign strong though, winning three of their final four games, and they have maintained that good form during the first few weeks of the new season.
Arlington opened the new season with an impressive 33-9 blowout of San Antonio, who made it to the championship game a year ago.
The Renegades then followed that up last weekend, as they battled to an 11-9 victory over Houston.
Birmingham Stallions Form
Birmingham go into their home opener having rebounded from their opening night defeat to kick-start their quest for a fourth consecutive spring football crown.
The Stallions won back-to-back USFL championships in 2022 and 2023, and then cemented their status as spring football’s best team by winning the inaugural UFL crown in 2024.
However, their bid to win yet another title did not get off to the best of starts, as they lost on opening weekend.
Birmingham were expected to get the better of a DC team that lost their head coach just days before the season, but instead they fell to a shock 18-11 defeat in the capital.
The Stallions rebounded in Week 2 however, as they travelled to Michigan to take down the Panthers at Ford Field, 21-12.
Verdict
Arlington are off to a perfect start, but last week’s narrow win over Houston has cooled some of the hype.
Birmingham, on the other hand, have rebounded from their opening-day loss and boast a tremendous home record, so we are backing the Stallions for back-to-back wins.
