Seattle Sounders vs LAFC Preview & Picks - Seattle backed to stun LAFC in the MLS

The Seattle Sounders arrive for their latest match on the back of an impressive 2-0 win over a stubborn St Louis side. 

LAFC made it two without a win in the league as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Real Salt Lake. 

Seattle have won two of their last 10 against LAFC, with the latter winning five times and three matches ending as draws. 

The Seattle Sounders are making a late and impressive push for the top places in the Western Conference following a brilliant run of five consecutive wins. 

Their latest victory over St Louis means they have moved onto 37 points, which means they are just nine short of LA Galaxy at the summit. While St Louis do sit in 13th right now, they have won four and drawn 10 of their 24 matches, with Seattle's win showcasing their ability to break a stubborn team down. 

Now, the Sounders take on a LAFC side that will be desperate to snap their two-game winless run. If Seattle can win this one, then they will be full of confidence heading into the final weeks of the season. 

LAFC's fine run was brought to a grinding halt by Columbus Crew mere days ago as they were hammered 5-1 on their own patch. 

This defeat was followed by a 1-1 draw with Real Salt Lake as LAFC fell two points behind arch-rivals LA Galaxy at the top of the Western Conference. While LAFC have two games in hand over Galaxy, winning these matches is not a given. 

LAFC arrive to play a Seattle side that have won six of their 12 at home, losing just once. While the away side can challenge their opponents, we are backing their awful run to stretch to three without a win.
