The Mexican side also lost their first-ever contest against the stateside selection, with a penalty shootout defeat following a 1-1 draw in 2021.
Under the leadership of Club América head coach André Jardine, LIGA MX travels to the United States with a 28-man roster available.
Nelson Deossa, Oussama Idrissi, and Salomón Rondón are included in the squad, with all three having played vital roles in CF Pachuca's victory against Columbus Crew in the 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup.
Veteran El Tri midfielder Andrés Guardado and Tigres UANL forward André-Pierre Gignac are also available for selection.
Verdict
Previous meetings have proved competitive and entertaining, and I see no reason for that to change on Wednesday.
