They beat Tampa Bay 4-2 at home, before heading out on the road to win 2-1 in San Jose, 3-1 in Anaheim and 6-2 in Arizona.
Winnipeg then returned home to beat Columbus 5-0 and Chicago 2-1, before seeing their streak finally end with a 2-0 defeat to Philadelphia.
The Jets rebounded to beat the New York Islanders 4-2 and Ottawa 2-1 in overtime, but failed to make it three-in-a-row as they lost 4-1 in Boston.
Toronto Maple Leafs Form
Toronto come into this matchup on the back of a win, but in poor form with five defeats in their last seven games.
The Maple Leafs made a flying start to 2024 as the rebounded from a three-game losing skid by winning their first four games of the calendar year.
That run was brought to a shuddering halt by a 4-3 overtime defeat at the New York Islanders, and they failed to bounce back quickly as they lost 5-3 to Colorado, 4-2 to Detroit and 4-2 to Edmonton.
Toronto avoided a fifth consecutive loss as they won 4-3 in Calgary, only to then lose 6-4 when they visited Vancouver.
The Maple Leafs again failed to follow up a victory though, losing 3-1 when they visited Seattle last weekend.
Verdict
Winnipeg are one of the NHL's best teams and they are in good form, so we like them in the role of underdog.
