Seattle rallied when they returned home and won back-to-back games, downing Los Angeles 4-2 and Buffalo 6-4.
The Kraken failed to make it three-in-a-row as they lost 3-0 to Washington, but they rebounded immediately to beat Pittsburgh 4-1.
Edmonton Oilers Form
Edmonton go into this matchup having won 10 of their last 13 games and each of the last two.
The Oilers ended the year with a 4-1 victory over Utah, and that proved to be the start of a four-game run that saw them beat Anaheim 3-2, Seattle 4-2 and Boston 4-0.
They then rebounded from a 6-4 loss in Pittsburgh with another four-game tear, beating Chicago 4-3, Los Angeles 1-0, Minnesota 5-3 and Colorado 4-3.
Edmonton’s run was ended by a 3-2 defeat in Vancouver, and they then returned home for a 3-2 loss to Washington.
The Oilers bounced back last week though, beating Vancouver 6-2 and Buffalo 3-2 on the home ice.

Edmonton are the better team in better form, and they have dominated Seattle over the years.
