Philadelphia Flyers at Washington Capitals Preview & Picks

Who will win the second half of this back-to-back between the two teams?

Check back here on Wednesday morning for our free Philadelphia Flyers at Washington Capitals tips.

Head To Head

  • Philadelphia Flyers lead the all-time series 138-104-30
  • Washington Capitals won 2-1 when the two teams last met in April 2024

Philadelphia Flyers Form

Philadelphia went into Tuesday night’s game against Washington having lost four straight games.

The Flyers enjoyed a winning start to the season as they visited Vancouver and beat the Canucks via a shootout, 3-2.

Their form has nose-dived since then though, with a 6-3 defeat proving to be the start of a four-game skid.

Philadelphia moved on to lose 4-3 in overtime in Edmonton, before heading to Seattle for a 6-4 defeat at the hands of the Kraken.

The Flyers then failed to end their losing ways in their home opener, as they were beaten 3-0 by Vancouver.

Washington Capitals Form

Washington entered Tuesday night’s meeting with Philadelphia having rebounded from an opening-night defeat with three straight wins.

The Capitals opened the 2024/25 season at home to New Jersey and suffered a 5-3 defeat at the hands of the Devils.

They have responded well though, with a 4-2 home win over Vegas proving to be the start of a three-game winning run.

Washington backed up that win over the Golden Knights with a 3-2 victory over Dallas, before heading out on the road for the first time.

The Capitals won their road opener too, avenging that season-opening loss to New Jersey with a 6-5 overtime win over the Devils.
