NHL Maurice Richard Trophy 2022/23 Odds – Connor McDavid backed to be NHL’s top goalscorer this season
- Maurice Richard Trophy goes to the NHL’s top goalscorer
- Connor McDavid is the league’s top scorer at the time of writing
- McDavid -286 favourite ahead of +250 David Pastrnak

Connor McDavid is odds-on to win the NHL Maurice Richard trophy, which is awarded to the league’s top goalscorer at the end of the season.
McDavid, who is the clear favorite to win the league’s MVP honours, currently tops the NHL goal-scoring charts, having scored 48 goals in 60 appearances at the time of writing.
That has put the Edmonton Oilers star six goals clear of his main rival for the award, and the sportsbooks do not expect that gap to be erased before the end of the 2022/23 season.
McDavid is -286 with Stake to add the Maurice Richard Trophy to other awards he is likely to win this season.
His main rival is Boston Bruins right wing David Pastrnak, who won this award for the first time in his career in 2019/20.
Pastrnk has scored 42 goals in 58 games so far, and is +250 to go on a red-hot run between now and the end of the season that lands him a second Maurice Richard Trophy.
There is a big jump in the odds form there, with Tage Thompson next up in the betting but out at +1300.
Thompson is currently third in the scoring charts with 40 goals in 58 games, and as the only other player to have broken the 40-goal barrier so far, he is the only other player shorter than 20s.
Thirty eight-goal Mikko Rantanen of the Colorado Avalanche and 37-goal Kirill Kaprizov of the Minnesota Wild are +2200 and +6000 respectively.
