New Jersey Devils at Toronto Maple Leafs Preview & Picks

Can Toronto snap a three-game losing skid?

Check back here on Thursday morning for our free New Jersey Devils at Toronto Maple Leafs tips.

Head To Head

  • Toronto Maple Leafs lead the all-time series 88-53-30
  • Toronto Maple Leafs won 2-1 in overtime when the two teams last met on December 10

New Jersey Devils Form

New Jersey head to Toronto in poor form, having now lost six of their previous eight games.

The Devils enjoyed a three-game win streak over Christmas, only for that good run to end with a 5-2 defeat in Carolina.

That proved to be the start of a four-game skid that saw them also lose 3-2 in Anaheim, 3-0 at Los Angeles and 3-2 in San Jose.

New Jersey stopped the rot with a 3-2 victory in Seattle, but failed to follow that up as they wrapped up that road trip with a 3-2 overtime loss at the New York Rangers.

The Devils responded with a 3-2 overtime win at home to Tampa Bay, before falling to a 2-1 defeat when they hosted Florida on Tuesday night.

Toronto Maple Leafs Form

Toronto go into this matchup in need of a victory, having now lost each of their last three games.

The Maple Leafs wrapped up 2024 with a 3-1 victory over the New York Islanders, and that proved to be the start of a five-game win streak.

They started 2025 with a 2-1 win against the Islanders on the road, before returning home to beat Boston 6-4 and Philadelphia 3-2 in overtime.

Toronto’s run reached five games as they then travelled to Philly for a 3-2 overtime win, but it came to an end a couple of nights later in Carolina, as they lost 6-3.

The Maple Leafs then returned home to lose 3-0 against Vancouver and 4-1 against Dallas.
