New Jersey Devils at Colorado Avalanche Preview & Picks

Can Colorado win for the first time since the regular season resumed?

Check back here on Wednesday morning for our free New Jersey Devils at Colorado Avalanche tips.

Head To Head

  • Colorado Avalanche lead the all-time series 53-44-9
  • Colorado Avalanche won 4-0 when the two teams last met on December 8

New Jersey Devils Form

New Jersey head to Colorado with a winning record but in inconsistent form, having gone 4-4 in their last eight games.

The Devils have not won back-to-back games since late January, when they beat Boston 5-1 at home and Montreal 4-3 in overtime on the road.

They split the two meetings with Philadelphia, losing 4-2 on the road and 5-0 at home, and then fell to a 4-3 defeat in Buffalo.

New Jersey rebounded to win via a shootout in Pittsburgh, and then responded to a 3-1 home loss to Vegas with a 4-0 success in Montreal.

The Devils again failed to follow up a win as they lost 4-2 at home to Dallas, but they once again responded quickly to a loss, beating Nashville 5-0 on the road.

Colorado Avalanche Form

Colorado return home looking to rebound from back-to-back defeats since the regular season resumed.

The Avalanche went into the NHL 4 Nations Face Off break having won four of their previous five games.

They started that sequence at home as they recorded back-to-back shutout victories, beating St Louis 5-0 and Philadelphia 2-0.

Colorado then rebounded immediately from a 3-0 loss in Vancouver, winning 4-2 in Calgary and 5-4 when they visited Edmonton.

However, the Avalanche have not tasted victory since the restart, heading back out on the road to lose 2-1 in Nashville and 3-1 in St Louis.
