Florida Panthers Form

Florida head to Toronto on the back of a defeat, but in strong form having won six of their previous seven games.

The Panthers responded to a 2-1 defeat to Seattle with a 4-1 victory in Nashville that sparked a six-game win streak.

They followed up that victory at home as they edged Edmonton 4-3, before shutting out Calgary in a 3-0 win.

Florida then beat Tampa Bay 2-1, before posting shutout victories over Columbus, 3-0, and Buffalo, 4-0.

The Panthers’ six-game run was finally brought to an end on Monday though, as they lost 3-2 on the road in Boston.

Toronto Maple Leafs Form

Toronto return home looking to build on a road win that halted a run of three consecutive defeats.

The Maple Leafs returned from the mid-season break with a 6-3 win at home to Carolina, and they backed that up with four more victories on the road.

They won 5-2 in Chicago, 5-4 in overtime at Boston, 3-2 against the New York Rangers and 6-5 in overtime in Pittsbrugh.

Toronto’s run was ended by a 3-2 shootout loss at home to San Jose, and they then suffered road defeats to Vegas, 5-2, and Colorado, 7-4.

The Maple Leafs ended that three-game skid in Utah though, as they claimed a 4-3 victory via a shootout.
