The Panthers were red-hot during late January and early February, reeling off nine consecutive victories.
That run was halted by a 4-1 defeat to New Jersey, and that was followed by overtime defeats to Anaheim and Detroit, 5-4 and 3-2, and a 6-4 defeat to Minnesota.
Florida stopped the rot with a 4-1 win in Nashville though, and back that up with a 6-2 win over Arizona, a shootout success against Pittsburgh and a 3-2 overtime victory at the New York Islanders.
The Panthers then rebounded from a 2-1 defeat to Philadelphia by beating Washington 4-2 and Colorado 4-0.
Pittsburgh Penguins Form
Pittsburgh return home on the back of a couple of defeats, and they have now lost five of their last seven.
The Penguins have struggled for consistency during February and went just 3-4 through their first seven games of the month.
They then went on a three-game losing skid, following up a 3-2 defeat in Vegas with a 5-2 loss in Arizona and a shootout defeat to Florida.
Pittsburgh steadied the ship with a 3-2 overtime win over Montreal, and they backed that up with a 3-0 shutout of Winnipeg.
The Penguins have not won since though, following up a 3-2 defeat at Minnesota with a 2-1 loss in Winnipeg.

Florida arrive in great form and are backed to register their third win over Pittsburgh this season.
