Florida head out on the road for the first time in this Stanley Cup Finals series boasting a 2-0 lead after back-to-back home wins.
The Panthers opened with a 3-0 shutout win over Edmonton, and then backed that up on Monday with a 4-1 success.
They booked their place in the Stanley Cup Finals by eliminating Tampa Bay, Boston and the New York Rangers in the postseason.
Florida, who won their division with a 52-24-6 record, made a fast start to the playoffs as they won their first three playoff games, beating Tampa Bay 3-2, 3-2 (OT) and 5-3.
The Panthers missed out on the sweep as they lost the fourth meeting 6-3, but they hit back immediately with a series-clinching 6-1 victory.
They then went six games against Boston, rebounding from a 5-1 defeat with 6-1, 6-2 and 3-2 wins, before responding to a 2-1 loss with a 2-1 road win that wrapped things up.
Florida needed six games to oust New York too, fighting back from 2-1 down with a run of three consecutive victories, 3-2 (OT), 3-2 and 2-1, to book their place in the Stanley Cup Finals.
Edmonton Oilers Form
Edmonton return home looking to get their first win of the 2024 Stanley Cup Finals on the board after back-to-back road defeats.
The Oilers opened with a 3-0 defeat, and that was followed by a 4-1 loss when the teams met again on Monday.
They entered this series having sent Los Angeles, Vancouver and Dallas packing during their postseason run.
Edmonton split the first two games of their first-round series with Los Angeles, only to reel off 6-1 and 1-0 road wins, before clinching with a 4-0 victory at home.
The Oilers’ win streak was ended by Vancouver as they engaged in a marathon seven-game series.
The two teams traded wins and losses for the first six games, before Edmonton finally wrapped things up with a 5-1 home win in Game 7.
That set up a Western Conference Finals showdown with Dallas, where they erased a 2-1 deficit with 5-2, 3-1 and 2-1 victories to seal a trip to the Stanley Cup Finals.
