The Oilers, who went 49-27-6 in the regular season, eased through the first round of the series as they beat Los Angeles in five games.
They dropped the second game in that series, but came roaring back with 6-1 and 1-0 road wins, and a 4-3 victory at home.
Edmonton’s run was halted by a 5-4 defeat in the first game of this series in Vancouver, but they bounced back straight away with a 4-3 overtime win.
The Oilers failed to back that up as they lost their home opener, 4-3, although once again rebounded immediately as they took the fourth game of the series, 3-2.

Vancouver return home having surrendered the lead for the second time in this playoff series.
The Canucks, who put together a 50-23-9 regular-season record, needed six games to get the better of Nashville in the first round.

Vancouver opened the second-round series with a 5-4 win at home to the Oilers, only to then lose the second meeting 4-3 in overtime.
The Canucks responded with a 4-3 victory in their first road game of the series, but they again failed to string together wins as they were beaten 3-2 in Game 4.
