  • Boston Bruins won 6-3 when the two teams last met on February 1

Boston Bruins Form

Boston went into Tuesday’s game against Minnesota on the back of a win and in slightly improved form, having won six of their last 10 games.

The Bruins endured a six-game losing skid early in the year, but steadied the ship with back-to-back wins as they beat Florida 4-3 in overtime and Tampa Bay 6-2 in regulation.

The dropped two of the next three, but again rallied with consecutive wins as they downed Ottawa 2-0 and Colorado 3-1 at home.

Boston failed to make it three-in-a-row as they lost 7-2 in Buffalo, and they then fell to a 6-2 defeat when they returned home to face Winnipeg.

The Bruins bounced back with a 6-3 win over the New York Rangers at the weekend, before starting this week with a game against Minnesota.

New York Rangers Form

New York go into this matchup having snapped a three-game losing skid with the weekend win over Vegas.

The Rangers enjoyed a good run in January as they won six times in an eight-game spell, stringing together back-to-back wins three times during that sequence.

However, they have not put together consecutive wins since January 21-23, when they backed up a 5-0 shutout of Ottawa with a 6-1 rout of Philadelphia.

New York lost their next three, falling 5-4 to Colorado and 4-0 to Carolina before heading to Boston for a 6-4 defeat.

The Rangers did avoid a fourth straight defeat though, returning home to down Vegas 4-2 over the weekend.
