Boston Bruins at Colorado Avalanche Preview & Picks

Can Colorado finally get off the mark when they host Boston?

Check back here on Wednesday morning for our free Boston Bruins at Colorado Avalanche tips.

Head To Head

  • Boston Bruins lead the all-time series 83-63-19
  • Boston Bruins won 5-2 when the two teams last met on January 18

Boston Bruins Form

Boston head out on the road looking to rebound from their second defeat of the season, which has left them 2-2.

The Bruins warmed up for the regular season with a five-game pre-season that saw them go 2-3, and they were handed a tough opener in the form of a trip to face defending champions.

They were beaten 6-4 on the road in that game, but rebounded immediately with a 6-4 victory over Montreal in their home opener.

Boston backed up that victory as they then edged Los Angeles in overtime, 2-1, but they were unable to make it three-in-a-row.

The Bruins faced Florida for the second this season on Monday night, and despite having home advantage they were beaten 4-3.

Colorado Avalanche Form

Colorado come into this game still seeking their first win of the season, having lost each of their first three games.

The Avalanche were a playoff team a year ago, but they have been stacking up losses since the start of pre-season.

They went 1-3 as they warmed up for the next campaign, and then opened the regular season with an 8-4 defeat when they visited Vegas.

Colorado then returned home to start a run of four consecutive games on their own ice, but that has not sparked a turnaround in fortunes.

The Avalanche dropped their home opener against Columbus, 6-4, before suffering a 6-2 defeat at the hands of the New York Islanders.
