The Steelers bounced back from a 30-7 home defeat to San Francisco with a 26-22 win over Cleveland, and backed that up by winning their road opener in Las Vegas, 23-18.
They then bounced back from a 30-6 blowout loss in Houston by beating Baltimore 17-10 and the Los Angeles Rams 24-17.
Again Pittsburgh failed to string together three wins, losing 20-10 to Jacksonville, but again they avoided back-to-back defeats.
The Steelers downed Tennessee 20-16 and then fended off a desperate late rally from Green Bay to beat the Packers 23-19.
Cleveland Browns Form
Cleveland come into this game having won four of their last five games to take their record to 6-3.
The Browns opened the season with a 24-3 win against Cincinnati, only to then lose 26-22 when they visited Pittsburgh.
They bounced back with a 27-3 home blowout of Tennessee, but again they failed to follow up a win as they were beaten 28-3 by Baltimore.
Cleveland did win their next two though, upsetting San Francisco 19-17 before winning 39-38 at Indianapolis, before falling to a 24-20 defeat in Seattle.
The Browns responded to that loss with a 27-0 shutout of Arizona, and they then snatched a 33-31 victory at Baltimore despite Deshaun Watson suffering a season-ending injury.
Verdict
The loss of Deshaun Watson is a massive blow to Cleveland’s chances of making the playoffs.
Pittsburgh are tipped to take advantage of that in what is likely to be a low-scoring grind featuring two talented defenses.
