Minnesota Vikings at Cincinnati Bengals Preview & Picks

Cincinnati are tipped to cover as they extend their win streak.

Jake Browning has done a good job filling in for Joe Burrow and the defense has been solid.

They can put the clamps on a Minnesota offense that has stalled over the past couple of weeks.

  • Cincinnati Bengals are 6-3-0 ATS in their last 9 games
  • Minnesota Vikings are 0-2-0 ATS in their last 2 games
  • Cincinnati have out-scored Minnesota 68-13 over the past 2 weeks
  • The Under has cashed in 9 of Minnesota’s last 11 games

Head To Head

  • The all-time series is tied 7-7
  • Cincinnati Bengals won 27-24 when the two teams last met in September 2021

Minnesota Vikings Form

Minnesota come into this game on the back of a win, but that have struggled over the past three weeks to sit 7-6.

The Vikings lost three of their first four games of the season, but a 19-13 win in Chicago sparked a turnaround.

They then upset San Francisco 22-17, before winning 24-10 in Green Bay and 31-28 in Atlanta to get their season on track.

Minnesota then beat New Orleans at home, 27-19, but the Josh Dobbs hype began to cool when they lost 21-20 at Denver and 12-10 at home to Chicago.

The Vikings then needed a field goal with less than two minutes remaining to claim an uninspiring 3-0 win in Las Vegas last weekend.

Cincinnati Bengals Form

Cincinnati come into this game having won back-to-back games to stay in the playoff hunt at 7-6.

The Bengals also three of their first four games of the season, but kick-started their campaign with a four-game win streak after that.

They won 34-20 in Arizona, before downing Seattle 17-13, San Francisco 31-17 on the road and Buffalo 24-18 at home.

Cincinnati’s momentum stalled in November as they were beaten 30-27 by Houston, 34-20 at Baltimore and 16-10 to Pittsburgh.

An injury to the Joe Burrow then threatened to derail the Bengals’ season, but with Jake Browning at the controls they have won 34-31 in overtime in Jacksonville, and 34-14 at home to Indianapolis.

Verdict

Cincinnati have looked good with Jake Browning under center in the last few weeks.

Minnesota, meanwhile, have stalled offensively with Josh Dobbs struggling and some key players out, so we like the Bengals to come away with a cover and a win.
