Cincinnati hit red-hot form in the second half of the season to finish 12-4 and secure a return to the playoffs.
The Bengals appeared to be suffering a post-Super Bowl hangover as they went 4-4 through their first eight game.
However, a 42-21 win at home to Carolina before the bye week proved to be the spark they needed.
Cincy rattled off eight consecutive wins to wrap up the regular season and go into the playoffs in excellent form.
They returned to action with a couple of road wins at Pittsburgh (37-30) and Tennessee (20-16), and then backed them up with an impressive 27-24 home win against Kansas City.
The wins kept coming for the Bengals as they then beat Cleveland 23-10 at home, before heading out on the road to down Tampa Bay 34-23 and New England 22-18.
Their Week 17 clash with Buffalo was then cancelled, but Cincinnati were able to extend their streak as they completed the regular season with a 27-16 win against Baltimore.
