Clemson finished the regular season with a 10-2 record and won the ACC Championship Game.
The Tigers rode an eight-game win streak to start the season, beating three ranked teams along the way.
They won a sensational shootout with #21 Wake Forest in late September 51-45.
Clemson then beat #10 NC State, 30-20 and downed #14 Syracuse, 27-21, as they continued to pile up wins.
That streak finally came to an end in early November though, as the Tigers fell to a 35-14 defeat when they visited Notre Dame.
They bounced back over the next couple of weeks by beating Louisville 31-16 and Miami (FL) 40-10, but they saw their long-running home streak come to a surprise end a week later.
Clemson fell to a 31-30 defeat when they hosted South Carolina in their regular season finale.
The Tigers issued an emphatic response to that loss though, blowing out #24 North Carolina, 39-10, to win the ACC Championship Game.
