Ohio State downed fellow top-five teams Penn State, 20-23, and Indiana, 38-15, along the way, putting them on the brink of a conference championship appearance.
However, the Buckeyes missed out on the chance to play for the Big Ten crown, suffering a surprise 13-10 defeat when they hosted bitter rivals Michigan in the regular season finale.
They rebounded in the first round of the playoffs though, racing out to an early lead and never looking back as they beat Tennessee 42-17.
Verdict
Oregon took the regular season meeting, but this time they do not have the home field factor on their side.
