The Bulldogs made a winning start to the season as they blew out Eastern Kentucky, but once the level of opposition improved their form nose-dived.
They went out on the road to lose 30-23 to Arizona State, before returning home to lose 41-17 to Toledo.
Mississippi State kicked off their conference schedule after that, and in their first SEC clash of the year they were beaten 45-28 by Florida.
That became back-to-back conference defeats last weekend, as the Bulldogs went out on the road lose 35-13 to the number one team in the nation, Texas.
Georgia Form
Georgia are looking to make it back-to-back wins in response to the heart-breaking loss to Alabama at the end of September.
The Bulldogs made an early statement as they blew out Clemson on opening night, 34-3, and they backed that up a week later with a 48-3 rout of Tennessee Tech.
Their perfect start continued a week later, but an underwhelming 13-12 win in Kentucky cost them top spot in the college football rankings.
Georgia’s stock then dropped further when they wasted a huge fightback to lose 41-34 at Alabama.
The Bulldogs did rebound at the first attempt though, beating Auburn 31-13 at home to improve to 4-1 for the season and 2-1 in SEC action.
Verdict
Georgia are the better team and we fully expect them to come away with the win.
However, the Bulldogs have not been covering the spread recently and they may have one eye on the upcoming clash with Texas, which could result in them taking their foot off the gas.
