The Thundering Herd have made a mixed start to the season, blowing out Stony Brook 45-3 at home, before losing 31-14 at Virginia Tech.
They came into the campaign looking to finish with a winning record after finishing the last two regular seasons at the 6-6 mark.
Marshall opened last season with a four-game win streak, but saw their form collapse as they won only two conference games the rest of the way.
The Thundering Herd did enough to earn a trip to a Bowl game, but they were beaten 35-17 by UTSA in the Frisco Bowl.
Ohio State Form
Ohio State will look to notch one more win before they embark on their quest for a trip to the Big Ten Championship Game and the College Football Playoffs.
The Buckeyes missed out on both of those last season thanks to a costly defeat to bitter rivals Michigan.
They won 11 straight games, including victories over top-10 teams Notre Dame and Penn State, only to suffer a crushing 30-24 defeat to the Wolverines in the regular season finale.
Ohio State had to settle for a Cotton Bowl appearances as a result of that loss, and they were beaten 14-3 by Missouri in that matchup.
The Buckeyes are looking to put that disappointment firmly behind them this time around, and they made a dominant start with a 52-6 demolition of Akron and a 56-0 shutout of Michigan State.
Verdict
Ohio State are piling up points and giving almost nothing away on defense.
That spells trouble for a Marshall team who have not covered in their last six road games, so despite the big spread we are siding with the Buckeyes.
