The Demon Deacons opened up the season with three non-conference games and came out on top in all of them.
They beat Elon 37-17 and Vanderbilt 36-20 at home, before going out on the road to see off Old Dominion 27-24.
Wake Forest then returned home for their ACC opener and lost 30-16 to Georgia Tech, before suffering a 17-12 defeat at Clemson and 30-13 loss at Virginia Tech.
