The Crimson Tide made a blistering start as the offense piled up a bunch of points in a four-game win streak that included a 41-34 win over Georgia in their SEC opener.
Their run was brought to a shuddering halt by a sensational 40-35 loss at Vanderbilt, and although they rebounded to beat South Carolina 27-25, then then lost 24-17 at Tennessee.
Alabama have not lost since though, winning back-to-back games over the past couple of weeks while scoring a combined 94 points.
The Crimson Tide returned to winning ways with a 42-13 victory at LSU, before returning home to blow out Mercer 52-7 last weekend.
Oklahoma Form
Oklahoma go into this matchup on a bad run of form, having now lost five of their last six games to fall to 5-5.
The Sooners opened the season with three consecutive wins, but saw that perfect start end with a 25-15 defeat to Tennessee in their SEC debut.
They earned their first win in their new conference a week later, beating Auburn 27-21 on the road, but they failed to build on that as they lost their next three.
Oklahoma blown out by Texas, 34-3, and South Carolina, 35-9, before heading to Ole Miss for a 26-14 defeat.
The Sooners avoided a fourth straight loss as they made straightforward work of Maine, 59-14, but they immediately returned to losing ways last weekend as they fell 30-23 at Missouri.
Verdict
Alabama appear to have found their groove over the last few weeks, with the offense rolling again.
