Purdue enter this game in improved form, having rebounded from the rough run in late February with five wins in their last seven games.
The Boilermakers lost four straight late in the regular season, but rallied with back-to-back wins before losing the finale at Illinois.
They responded to that loss with a 76-71 victory over Southern California in the Big Ten tournament, but they were no match for Michigan in the next round as they lost 86-68.
Purdue bounced back in the opening round of March Madness as they saw off High Point, 75-63.
The Boilermakers then secured their place in the Sweet 16 of the national tournament by beating McNeese State 76-62.

Houston started the season slowly, but when December arrived they embarked on a tear and have not looked back.
