Florida Form

Florida enter this Elite Eight matchup on a rich vein of form, having now won each of their previous nine games.

The Gators ended the regular season on a three-game win streak, and kept that run going as they claimed the SEC tournament crown.

They advanced to the final by beating Missouri 95-81 and Alabama 104-82, and claimed the crown with an 86-77 success against Tennessee.

Florida then beat Norfolk State 95-69 in the first round of March Madness, before sealing a place in the Sweet 16 with a 77-75 win over defending champions UConn.

The Gators followed up those wins with an 87-71 victory against Maryland that secured a place in the Elite Eight.

Texas Tech Form

Texas Tech go into this game having rebounded from their Big 12 disappointment with a run to the Elite Eight of the national tournament.

The Red Raiders went into the conference tournament on a three-game winning run, and made it four-in-a-row as they beat Baylor in their first outing, 76-74.

However, they failed to follow that up in the next round as they were dumped out by Arizona, 86-80.

Texas Tech put that behind them in the first round of March Madness as they downed UNC Wilmington, 82-71.

The Red Raiders then saw off Drake, 77-64, before securing their place in the Elite Eight with an 85-83 overtime win against Arkansas in the Sweet 16.

Verdict

Florida have been on a tear since the start of the month and we expect their run to continue here.

The Gators are unspectacular, but their methodical and efficient approach has led them to the Elite Eight, and it can take them into the Final Four.
