That run included a big 132-109 win at Western Conference rivals Dallas just over a week ago, but that proved to be the final victory in that run.
Phoenix were beaten 133-131 when they visited Indiana a couple of nights later, and they then fell to a 113-98 defeat in Orlando.
The Suns have rebounded on the road though, following up a 118-105 victory in Miami with a 136-120 win at Brooklyn.
Atlanta Hawks Form
Atlanta also enter this matchup looking to make it three wins in a row, having seemingly bounced back from a four-game skid.
The Hawks started the second half of January with a run of three consecutive victories, starting with a 109-99 win at home to San Antonio.
They then beat Orlando 106-104 and Miami 109-108, but saw their run end with a 116-96 defeat Cleveland, and they struggled to bounce back from that.
Atlanta were beaten 122-107 in Sacramento and 134-112 at Golden State, before returning home to lose 148-143 to Dallas.
The Hawks finally stopped the rot with a 126-125 win over Toronto, and backed that up with a 138-122 blowout of the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday.
Verdict
Atlanta are the NBA's worst team when it comes to covering the spread, so when the bookies have them as underdogs, especially at home, they tend to be right.
