Philadelphia trail 1-0 in this NBA playoff series after seeing a nine-game win streak come to an end in Game 1.
The 76ers finished the regular season with a 47-35 record, settling for a place in the Play-In Tournament.
They ended the regular season on an eight-game streak that saw them beat Toronto 135-120, Oklahoma City 109-105, Miami 109-105, Memphis 116-96 and San Antonio 133-126 (2OT), Detroit 120-102, Orlando 125-113 and Brooklyn 107-86.
Philadelphia then made it nine wins in a row by beating Miami 105-104 in the Play-In Tournament to book their place in the playoffs.
The 76ers saw their red-hot run end in the opening game of the series though, as they were beaten 111-104 on Saturday night.
New York Knicks Form
New York will look to double their lead in this playoff series before heading to Philadelphia for the next two games.
The Knicks claimed second place in the Eastern Conference standings by compiling a 50-32 record in the regular season.
They won six of their final seven games in the regular season - a sequence that started with a 120-109 win over Sacramento, which was followed 108-100 defeat in Chicago.
New York then rebounded to win five straight, winning 122-109 in Milwaukee, 128-117 at Chicago and 118-109 in Boston, before heading home to down Brooklyn 111-107 and Chicago 120-119 in overtime.
The Knicks then made it six wins in a row in their postseason opener, beating Philadelphia 111-104 over the weekend.
Verdict
Philadelphia have problems when Joel Embiid leaves the court, and he may not be 100% healthy.
The Knicks did a great job of sticking with the 76ers when he was on court in Game 1, and punishing them when he wasn't, so we like the Knicks again in this one.
