New Orleans Pelicans Form
New Orleans head back to Phoenix having levelled up the series for the second time.
The Pelicans were beaten 110-99 on the road in Game 1, but bounced back to the second game 124-114.
They failed to make it back-to-back wins when they returned home for Game 3, losing 114-111.
However, New Orleans once again issued an immediate reponse to defeat, winning 118-103 in Game 4 on Sunday night.
Brandon Ingram top-scored for the Pelicans as he combined 30 points with five assists and four rebounds.
Jonas Valanciunas played a massive role too, dominating the paint to end with 26 points and 15 rebounds.
CJ McCollum struggled with his shooting, going 38.1% from the field as he finished with 18 points and nine rebounds.
Phoenix Suns Form
Phoenix return home looking to give themselves a shot at clinching in New Orleans on Sunday.
The Suns ended the regular season with the NBA’s best record by some distance, but they have found the postseason much more difficult.
Having opened with a 110-99 win over New Orleans, they dropped the second game 125-114.
It was in that game that they lost Devin Booker to a hamstring injury and he is yet to return to action.
Phoenix won their first game without Booker, registering a 114-11 win in New Orleans, but Sunday night’s matchup ended in a 118-103 defeat.
Deandre Ayton led the Suns in scoring with 23 points to go along with his eight rebounds.
Chris Paul struggled with his shooting though, ending the game with just four points. He did have 11 assists.
Verdict
Phoenix are the better team, but they are hit-and-miss against the spread at home.
They are also without star man Booker, so the Pelicans are a live underdog in Game 5.
Spread – New Orleans +6.5 @ -110
Moneyline – New Orleans Pelicans @ +220
