Minnesota Timberwolves Form

Minnesota head to Orlando having bounced back from a tough start to the year with back-to-back wins.

The Timberwolves snapped a three-game losing skid with a 105-99 win in Dallas on Christmas Day.

They then backed that up with a 113-112 victory in Houston, before returning home to record a 112-100 win over San Antonio.

Minnesota ended the year on a losing note though, falling 113-105 at Oklahoma City, and they then began 2025 with a 118-115 loss to Boston and a 119-105 defeat in Detroit.

The Timberwolves have steadied the ship though, following up Monday’s 108-106 win over the LA Clippers with a 104-97 success in New Orleans on Tuesday night.

Orlando Magic Form

Orlando go into this matchup looking to build on Monday’s win and develop some consistency following a mixed post-Christmas run.

The Magic’s patchy form started with back-to-back home defeats as they lost 89-88 to Miami and 108-85 to New York.

They avoided a third straight loss as they edged Brooklyn at home, 102-101, but they failed to follow that up as they then lost 105-96 in Detroit.

Orlando responded by beating the Raptors 106-97 in Toronto, only to then lose 105-92 when they returned home to face Utah.

The Magic did make a winning start to this week though, as they travelled to New York to take down the Knicks, 103-94.
