Minnesota Timberwolves Form

Minnesota head to Los Angeles looking to build on Monday night’s upset win at Oklahoma City.

The Timberwolves began February with back-to-back defeats, but rallied with three consecutive home wins as they beat Chicago 127-108, Houston 127-114 and Portland 114-98.

That run was ended by a 128-107 loss in Cleveland, and they then suffered a 103-101 home loss to Milwaukee.

Minnesota avoided a third straight loss with a 116-101 home win over Oklahoma City, but they failed to back it up as they then lost 121-115 in Houston and 123-120 at home to the Thunder.

The Timberwolves avenged that loss to Oklahoma City the following night though, winning 131-127 in overtime.

Los Angeles Lakers Form

Los Angeles enter this matchup in good form, having lost nine of their last 11 games and each of the last three.

The Lakers ended January with a 134-96 blowout of Washington on the road, and backed that up in early February with a 128-112 win in New York and a 122-97 success at the LA Clippers.

They returned home after that and took their streak to nine games as they beat Golden State 120-112, Indiana 124-117 and Utah 132-113.

Los Angeles’ run was halted by a 131-119 loss in Utah, and they then feel to a surprise 100-97 home defeat to Charlotte.

The Lakers have not lost since though, backing up road wins at Portland, 110-102, and Denver, 123-100, with a home win over Dallas, 107-99.
