The Rockets fizzled out before the All-Star break, but they are well-rested heading into this matchup and can take advantage of a Minnesota team dealing with a bunch of injuries.

Minnesota return from the All-Star break looking to pick up from where they left off and repeat the win over Houston from earlier this month.
That victory came during the Timberwolves’ three-game winning run in response to back-to-back home defeats to Washington and Sacramento.
They beat Chicago 127-108, and then backed that up by beating the Rockets 127-114 and Portland 114-98.
Minnesota failed to keep that running as they headed to Cleveland for a 128-107 loss to the Cavaliers, and they then fell to a 103-101 defeat when they hosted Milwaukee.
The Timberwolves did go into the All-Star week on a positive note though, thanks to a 116-101 victory over Oklahoma City.
Houston Rockets Form
Houston resume their season looking to kick-start a good run of form, having lost seven of their nine games before the All-Star break.
The Rockets’ four-game run was ended by a 120-119 defeat in Memphis, and they failed to rebound quickly as they lost 110-98 at home to Brooklyn.
They went back out on the road after that and saw their skid reach six games with defeats to New York, 124-119, Brooklyn, 99-97, Minnesota, 127-114, and Dallas, 116-105.
Houston finally stopped the rot when they returned home, backing up a 94-87 win over Toronto with a 119-111 victory against Phoenix.
The Rockets were unable to make it three-in-a-row though, as they were beaten at home by Golden State, 105-98.
Verdict
Houston are looking to reignite their season and this could be a good opportunity to start a run.
Minnesota are dealing with several injuries, so if they turn up short-handed on the road, the Rockets can take advantage.
