The Grizzlies ended 2023 on a three-game win losing skid, but enjoyed a winning start to 2024 as they downed San Antonio 106-98.
They then lost 116-111 at home to Toronto, only to respond with a run of three consecutive victories on the road.
Memphis beat the Los Angeles Lakers 127-113, and backed that up with a 121-115 victory in Phoenix and a 120-103 success in Dallas.
The Grizzlies’ run was ended by a 128-119 defeat to the LA Clippers and a 106-94 loss to New York, but they rebounded on Monday with a 116-107 success against Golden State.
Minnesota Timberwolves Form
Minnesota enter this matchup having won each of their last three games to improve to 29-11.
The Timberwolves made a slow start to 2024 as they lost 112-106 in New York and 117-106 at home to New Orleans.
They finally got their first win of the year when they won 122-95 in Houston, but they failed to build on that as they were then beaten 115-108 in Dallas.
Minnesota then downed Orlando 113-92 before wrapping up that four-game road trip with a 127-120 overtime defeat in Boston.
The Timberwolves responded when they returned home though, blowing out Portland 116-93 and beating the LA Clippers 109-105, and they made it three-in-a-row with a 124-117 win in Detroit last night.
