Los Angeles Lakers Form
Los Angeles go into their first NBA In-Season Tournament game on a three-game losing skid that has left them 3-5.
The Lakers opened with a 119-107 loss at defending champions Denver, but responded well by winning three of their next four games.
They beat Phoenix 100-95 at home, and then rebounded from a 132-127 overtime loss in Sacramento with a 106-103 win against Orlando and a 130-125 overtime victory against the LA Clippers.
Los Angeles have not won since then though, starting a three-game skid with a 120-101 defeat in Orlando.
The Lakers then travelled to Miami for a 108-107 loss to the Heat, before heading to Houston for a 128-94 blowout loss to the Rockets.
Phoenix Suns Form
Phoenix enter their first In-Season Tournament game on the back of a couple of wins that have improved them to 4-4.
The Suns won their first two games, sandwiching a 100-95 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers with a 108-104 victory at the Golden State Warriors and a 126-104 win at home to Utah.
Their form dipped after that though, as they lost back-to-back home games against San Antonio, 115-114 and 132-121.
Phoenix then travelled to Philadelphia for a 112-100 defeat, before finally steadying the ship with a 120-106 success in Detroit.
The Suns then made it back-to-back wins on Wednesday night, edging the Bulls 116-115 in overtime in Chicago.
Verdict
Phoenix are backed to win this and when they have won this season, they have tended to cover the spread.
