LA head out on a four-game road trip looking to get back on track after losing six of their last nine games.
The Clippers’ dip in form started with back-to-back home defeats, as they were beaten 124-117 by Milwaukee and 118-100 by Minnesota.
They avoided a third straight loss as they won 126-111 in Chicago, only to suffer a 112-104 defeat in New Orleans, before heading home for a 110-93 loss to Atlanta.
LA hit back on the road as they won both meetings in a double-header with Portland, 116-103 and 125-117.
The Clippers failed to build on that when they returned home though, losing 121-107 to Philadelphia and 133-116 to Indiana.
Philadelphia 76ers Form
Philadelphia return home in rough form, having now tasted defeat in eight of their last 12 games.
The 76ers started this sequence with three straight defeats, as they lost 112-107 in Brooklyn before returning home for a 115-109 defeat to Memphis and a 103-95 loss to New Orleans.
They stopped the rot with a 79-73 win in New York, only to lose the second meeting with the Knicks, 106-79, and suffer a 114-105 defeat at the hands of Milwaukee.
Philadelphia returned home to beat Charlotte 109-98 and Miami 98-91, but they soon returned to losing ways as they were beaten 115-102 in Phoenix and 101-94 at the Los Angeles Lakers.
The 76ers did manage one win in LA, beating the Clippers 121-107, although their joy was short-lived as they then lost 108-96 in Sacramento.
Verdict
LA's recent spread record is terrible and when these two teams met in California last week, the 76ers came away with the win.
So while the 76ers continue to deal with some key injuries, we like them in the role of home underdog.
