The Pacers put back-to-back wins together earlier this month when they beat Houston and blew out Portland.
They went agonisingly close to make it three-in-a-row when they hosted Sacramento, but they ultimately lost by a point and that proved to be the start of this skid.
Indiana suffered back-to-back heavy defeats on the road as they lost 133-103 in Memphis and 131-91 in Toronto.
They then followed that up with a couple of losses at home, falling to Atlanta 132-123 and Denver 125-118.
Buddy Hield led the Pacers in scoring in the loss to the Nuggets, scoring 20 points on the night.
Tyrese Haliburton recorded a double double with 15 points and 12 assists, while Goga Bitadza also notched a double double with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
Boston Celtics Form
Boston’s stint at the top of the Eastern Conference proved to be brief and they have now lost back-to-back games.
The Celtics have been red-hot for much of March and came into this week having won 11 of their 12 games.
They were riding a five-game win streak that had seen them down several playoff-bound teams.
However, that run was halted when a shorthanded Celtics team suffered a 115-112 overtime defeat in Toronto on Monday night.
They got back Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown for Wednesday’s home game against Miami, but the pair could not prevent the Heat from leaving with a 106-98 win.
Brown led Boston in scoring as he recorded 28 points and 10 rebounds in a double double.
Jayson Tatum put up 23 points along with six assists and five rebounds, while Al Horford grabbed 15 boards.
Verdict
Boston have dropped a couple of games, but they are still a team in strong form.
Indiana, on the other hand, are in miserable form and are simply playing out the string.
