Houston head to Minnesota on the back of a loss but having made a good start to the season with 12 wins from their first 18 games.
The Rockets best run during that sequence was a five-game win streak that started with a 101-99 victory in Detroit on November 10.
They backed that up with a 107-92 victory over Washington, before recording back-to-back wins over the LA Clippers, 111-103 and 125-104.
Houston then won 143-107 in Chicago, before rebounding from a 101-100 loss at Milwaukee with home wins over Indiana, 130-113, and Portland 116-88.
The Rockets failed to make it three wins in a row however, as they were beaten 104-98 by the Trail Blazers on Saturday.
Minnesota Timberwolves Form
Minnesota return home looking to rebound from a couple of road defeats that have dropped their record to 8-8.
The Timberwolves responded well to an opening-day loss as they won six of their first nine games.
Their form has cooled off over the past few weeks though, starting with the 95-94 defeat when they hosted Miami.
Minnesota then lost back-to-back games in Portland, 122-108 and 106-98, before briefly steadying the ship with a 130-126 overtime win over Sacramento and a 120-117 victory against Phoenix.
The Timberwolves failed to keep that run going though, as they went out on the road to lose 110-105 in Toronto and a 107-105 at Boston.
Verdict
Minnesota my be the favorites, but we are all over Houston and the free points in this one.
The Rockets are the team in form and they have been one of the NBA's most reliable spread bets over the past couple of weeks.
