Houston Rockets at Golden State Warriors Preview & Picks

Golden State are tipped to open up a three-game lead before heading back to Houston.

  • Golden State Warriors are 12-4 in their last 16 home games
  • Golden State Warriors are 7-3 in the last 10 meetings with Houston
  • Houston Rockets are 2-6-0 ATS in their last 8 road games
  • The Under cashed in 7 of the last 8 meetings

Head To Head

  • Houston Rockets lead the all-time series 136-128
  • Golden State Warriors won 104-93 when the two teams last met on April 26

Golden State Warriors Form

Houston go into their second road game of this series looking to bounce back from a defeat that has left them trailing 2-1.

The Rockets opened up this series at home but failed to take full advantage as they split their first two games with Golden State.

They lost the opening matchup 95-85, only to rebound in Game 2 with a 109-94 victory over the Warriors.

Houston failed to follow up that victory when they went out on the road though, losing 104-93 at Golden State on Saturday.

The Rockets secured their place in the playoffs by compiling a 52-30 record to finish second in the Western Conference standings, ending a five-year absence from the NBA’s postseason.

Houston Rockets Form

Golden State enter this matchup having regained the series lead thanks to a victory in Game 3 on Saturday night.

The Warriors made an ideal start to the postseason as they downed the Rockets 95-85 in the series opener.

However, they lost Jimmy Butler to injury in Game 2, and they missed out on the chance to double their series lead as they lost 109-94.

Golden State issued a response in their first home game though, overcoming the absence of Butler to beat the Rockets 104-93.

Golden State earned their place in the playoffs by going 48-34 in the regular season and successfully navigating the Play-In Tournament, beating Memphis 121-116.

Verdict

Golden State showed that they can still get the job done with Jimmy Butler on the sidelines.

They are in good form on their home court and have a good recent record against the Rockets, so we are backing the Warriors in Game 4.
