The Rockets opened up the series with back-to-back home games, but could only split those two outings.
They got off to a losing start as they were beaten 110-105 by Charlotte, only to rebound with a 128-108 victory when they hosted Memphis.
Houston failed to back that up in their road opener however, as they were beaten 109-106 by San Antonio.
The Rockets did avenge that loss two nights later though, as they ran out 106-101 winners over the Spurs.
Dallas Mavericks Form
Dallas have made a strong start to the season with three victories from their first four games.
The Mavericks opened up at home against San Antonio and ran out 120-109 winners over the Spurs.
They were unable to back that up as they then lost 114-102 in Phoenix, but they have not lost a game since then.
Dallas returned home and made an immediate return to winning ways with a 110-102 win over Utah.
The Mavericks then backed that up when they went out on the road to beat Minnesota 120-114 in a rematch from last season’s playoffs.
Verdict
Dallas just recorded an impressive win at Minnesota to continue their fine start to the season.
The Mavericks now face a Houston team that they have dominated in recent seasons, so we expect to see a home win and cover here.
