Golden State Warriors at Sacramento Kings Preview & Picks

Sacramento are backed to cover as they inflict another defeat on Golden State.

The Warriors boast the better roster, but it is hard to ignore the fact that they are not the same team when they head out on the road.

  • Golden State Warriors are just 13-34 ATS in their last 47 road games
  • Sacramento were 3-1-0 ATS against Golden State in the 2022/23 regular season
  • The Over has cashed in 30 of Golden State's last 47 road games
  • The Over has hit in 27 of Sacramento's last 45 home games

Head To Head

  • Golden State Warriors lead the all-time series 210-196
  • Golden State Warriors won 120-100 when the two teams last met on April 30

Golden State Warriors Form

Golden State head out on the road for the first time this season still seeking their first win.

The Warriors opened the season at home to Phoenix on Tuesday night, and came up short despite a big third-quarter performance.

They erased a 15-point half-time lead to take a six-point lead into the final period, but they were unable to maintain that pace over the final 12 minutes as they fell to a 108-104 defeat.

Stephen Curry led Golden State in scoring during the defeat, putting up 27 points to go along with five rebounds.

Klay Thompson contributed 15 points and seven rebounds, while Chris Paul had 14 points, nine assists and six boards in his debut.

Sacramento Kings Form

Sacramento come into their home opener looking to build on an opening-night win in Utah.

The Kings shot out to an early lead and never looked back as they blew out the Jazz, 130-114, at the Delta Center.

Harrison Barnes led them in scoring as he went 5/7 from three-point range while putting up 33 points.

Domantas Sabonis also played a starring role for Sacramento, producing 22 points, 12 rebounds and five assists in his double double.

De’Aaron Fox had 18 points, six assists and five rebounds, while Keegan Murray contributed 15 points and eight rebounds.

Verdict

Golden State are the better team on paper, but basketball is not played on paper and the Warriors possess a horrible road record.
