Golden State Warriors Form
Golden State head to Miami looking to issue an immediate response to only their second defeat in 11 games.
The Warriors began March with a loss, but rebounded in emphatic fashion as they won seven consecutive games.
They beat Charlotte 119-101, New York 114-102 and Brooklyn 121-119 on the road, before returning home to down Detroit 115-110, Portland 130-120, Sacramento 130-104 and New York 97-94.
Golden State’s run was ended by a 114-105 defeat to Denver, but they bounced back quickly to beat Milwaukee 104-93 and Toronto 117-114.
The Warriors failed to make it three wins in a row however, as they were beaten 124-115 in Atlanta on Saturday night.
Miami Heat Form
Miami enter this matchup looking to follow up the victory that finally brought an end to a 10-game losing skid.
The Heat ended February with back-to-back wins, and then began March by bouncing back from a 116-112 overtime defeat to New York with a 106-90 success against Washington.
They failed to build on that win though, as they were beaten 112-107 in Cleveland and then went on to lose their next five games at home.
Miami’s skid continued when they went back out on the road, losing 125-91 in Memphis and 116-95 at New York, and they then returned home to lose 116-113 to Detroit and 102-98 to Houston.
The Heat finally ended their losing run on Sunday though, as they downed Charlotte 122-105.
Verdict
Golden State are the better team in better form heading into tonight's matchup at the Kaseya Center.
So despite a couple of recent defeats, we are backing the Warriors to ensure Jimmy Butler enjoys his return to Miami.
