Golden State Warriors Form
Golden State are riding an eight-game win streak and are just one win away from advancing.
They blew out the Nuggets in the first two games on the home court, 123-107 and then 126-106.
The first meeting in Denver was a closer affair, but a fourth-quarter surge was enough to lift the Warriors to a 118-113 win.
Making Golden State’s success so far even more impressive is that they have done it with Stephen Curry starting off the bench.
Curry returned from injury in time for Game 1 but is yet to start a game in this season.
He has made an impact off the bench though, and in Game 3 he registered 27 points and six assists.
Jordan Poole led the starters in scoring with 27 points, while Klay Thompson put up 26 in the victory.
Draymond Green played his part too, dishing out 10 assists while grabbing five rebounds against the Nuggets.
Denver Nuggets Form
Denver must win Game 4, but they go into the matchup on a four-game losing skid.
The Nuggets failed to challenge Golden State on the road in the first two games, falling to 123-107 and 126-106 defeats.
A strong third quarter in their first home game of the series gave them a shot on Thursday night.
However, Denver were unable to complete the job and fell to a 118-113 defeat that leaves them 3-0 down in the series.
Nikola Jokic had a big game for Denver despite the loss, combining 37 points with 18 rebounds and five assists in a double double.
Aaron Gordon also registered a double double as he recorded 18 points and 12 rebounds in the loss.
Will Barton had 13 points and five assists, while Monte Morris registered 10 points and six assists.
Verdict
Golden State are red hot and they have piled up wins and covers against Denver this season.
That is unlikely to change in Game 4, with the Warriors backed to cover, win and advance.
Spread – Golden State -4.0 @ -110
