Dallas head to Boston looking to follow up Wednesday’s win in Toronto – their eighth win in their last 10 games.
The Mavericks started February with a 129-117 defeat to Milwaukee, but rebounded with a perfect three-game road trip that saw them beat Philadelphia 118-102, Brooklyn 119-107 and New York 122-108.
They continued to stack up wins then they returned home for a run of four straight games that saw them down Oklahoma City 147-111, Washington 112-104, San Antonio 117-93 and Phoenix 123-113.
Dallas’ run finally came to an end in Indiana as they were beaten 133-111, and that was followed by a 121-119 defeat in Cleveland.
The Mavericks were able to avoid a third straight defeat though, winning 136-125 in Toronto earlier this week.
Boston Celtics Form
Boston come into this matchup on a fantastic run of form, having now won nine straight games.
The Celtics have not tasted defeat since the 114-105 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers back on January 27.
They rebounded from that with a 131-91 demolition of Memphis, and that proved to be the start of a season-best run of form.
Boston backed it up by beating Atlanta 125-117 and Washington 133-129 at home, and then went out on the road to record a 110-106 win in Miami and a 118-110 victory at Brooklyn.
The Celtics then beat the Nets 136-86 at the TD Garden, before beating Chicago 129-112 and New York 116-102 on the road, and Philadelphia 117-99 at home.
Verdict
Boston are on a roll, but Dallas have been covering consistently in recent weeks so we are taking the Mavericks and the points.
