Cleveland Cavaliers at Boston Celtics Preview & Picks

Can Boston bounce back from the streak-ending loss to Detroit?

Check back here on Friday morning for our free Cleveland Cavaliers at Boston Celtics tips.

Head To Head

  • Boston Celtics lead the all-time series 166-114
  • Boston Celtics won 112-105 when the two teams last met on February 4

Cleveland Cavaliers Form

Cleveland head to Boston on a great run of form, having now won 12 of their last 13 games and each of the last eight.

The Cavaliers responded to a three-game skid in late January with a run of four consecutive victories.

That run was ended by a 112-105 home loss to Boston, but they responded to that defeat in emphatic fashion as they started an eight-game streak with wins at Detroit, 118-115, and Washington 134-124.

Cleveland then returned home briefly to beat Minnesota 128-107, before heading back out on the road to down Toronto, 131-108, and Brooklyn, 110-97.

The Cavaliers then recorded home wins over New York, 142-105, and Memphis, 129-123, and made it eight-in-a-row with 122-82 blowout of Orlando on the road.

Boston Celtics Form

Boston return home looking to bounce back from the defeat that ended their six-game winning run.

The Celtics enjoyed a four-game win streak in early February that was ended by a 127-120 home loss to Dallas.

They bounced back on the road to beat New York 131-104 and Miami 103-85, and then made it three-in-row when they returned home to beat San Antonio 116-103.

Boston then followed that up by sandwiching a 118-105 home win against New York with road victories at Philadelphia, 124-104, and Toronto, 111-101.

The Celtics failed to make it seven wins in a row though, as they were beaten 117-97 in Detroit on Wednesday night.
