Brooklyn Nets Form

Brooklyn remain in Los Angeles as they try to bounce back from a brutal loss – their seventh defeat in their nine games.

The Nets opened 2025 with a 130-113 loss in Toronto, and then failed to build on a 113-110 victory in Milwaukee as they lost five straight.

They returned home and failed to break the 100-point barrier in three straight games as they lost 123-94 to Philadelphia, 113-99 to Indiana and 113-98 to Detroit.

Brooklyn then went out on the road to lose 124-105 in Denver and 112-111 in Utah in overtime.

The Nets avoided a sixth straight loss as they won 132-114 in Portland, only to suffer an embarrassing 126-67 defeat to the LA Clippers on Wednesday.

Los Angeles Lakers Form

Los Angeles go into this game looking to build on Wednesday night’s win over Miami, which ended a three-game skid.

The Lakers enjoyed a good run of form in the second half of December as they won five times in a six-game spell, including a 115-113 victory at Golden State on Christmas Day.

They followed up that win with a 132-122 success against Sacramento, and then bounced back from a 122-110 loss to Cleveland with wins over Portland, 114-106, and Atlanta, 119-102.

Los Angeles cooled off after though as they lost three straight, falling 119-115 in Houston, 118-97 in Dallas and 126-102 at home to San Antonio.

The Lakers stopped the rot on Wednesday though, as they took down Miami at home, 117-108.
